RSCOGIC Active Auxiliaries
A weekly study of assigned lessons is held on Wednesday evenings. These weekly bible studies are open to all. Come hear inspiring and powerful lessons that will help you grow in your walk with Christ. Gifted, talented and anointed teachers have dedicated themselves to being thoroughly equipped to offer insightful lessons that are relevant to our lives today so that the people of God may be thoroughly furnished and rightly dividing the word of truth. We believe and endeavor to obey Jesus’ command: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.” Matthew 28:29a.
The Business and Professional Women’s Federation, local chapter of Refreshing Springs COGIC was formed and installed in January 2019. As an auxiliary under the Women’s Department, we fund raise to give tangible items to actively demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ in our area. We welcome all Christian women who are willing to use their God given gifts, talent, and profession to help others. So, my sister, there is space for you here. Our international motto is ” We care. We share. We help.” Here are some of Business & Professional Women’s Federation ongoing activities since inception.
- We donate food, diapers/baby wipe to homeless mothers in Cedar Hill (monthly)
- give devotional lesson with organizations, as scheduled (bi-monthly)
- donate clothes to battered women shelter in Dallas (semi-annual)
- read to Lancaster ISD elementary school students (weekly)
- supply school supplies orphans & foster children in Dallas (annual)
- register voters in Dallas County (ongoing)
- offer a host of virtual & in-person seminars – informational, Christian building and career building (year-round)
- offer phone conferences – prayer, Women’s breakfasts etc. (year-round)
- fulfill special requests of Pastoral & Women’s department (as identified)
The church choir is comprised of diverse age groups who come together to praise and worship our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We sing traditional, contemporary and quartet gospel songs that reaches every age group at Refreshing Springs Church of God in Christ. Our ultimate goal when we unite together is to create an atmosphere for God to come in and change lives. You WILL NOT leave the same way you came.
CWC is designed specifically to meet the spiritual needs of women above the age of 40 as well as to utilize their abilities and experience in a more effective way. This auxiliary is a forum where we are challenged to strive for excellence and Godliness. Also, CWC cultivates relationships characterized by mutual respect, trust, confidence, and a shared interest in the work of the Lord.

The Drama department consists of real-life events. It also gives you a chance to use your hidden talent and build your confidence in the ability to act and perform. The Drama department is also another tool used to draw more souls to Christ. If you feel like you have a talent for acting, please consider joining our team, because the drama department needs you. It’s always about building the kingdom of God.
Our church is blessed with anointed licensed and aspiring ministers and evangelist missionaries. Our dedicated team of men and women teach and preach the Word of God in a manner that edifies and builds up the body of Christ. It’s the goal of this ministry to teach and preach the truth of God Word, making it plain so that all who hear will be encouraged to live a holy and sanctified life in this present world. Also, praying for the sick, destitute, downtrodden, and troubled is the mission of this team and has found to be true that when we pray God changes things.
The Refreshing Springs Mother’s Board is composed of seasoned, mature, faithful, dedicated praying holy women. Our mothers are dedicated to their ministry starting at home and in the church. They are teachers and role models, especially to the young women and others. They give wise counsel and encouragement, showing patterns of good works, able to discern climate of what’s going on and able to pray accordingly.
Refreshing Springs Nursing Home Ministry’s purpose is first to reach those in the nursing homes who are unable to come out their local churches. Our aim is to bring the gospel in hopes of them receiving first of all salvation through our witness of the preached word. We strive to bring hope healing and encouragement by letting them know that their faith in Jesus is not in vain. We also minister to the whole man by not only providing spiritual help but whatever individual help that is needed from bible study to other natural resources.
The Nursing Ministry of the Refreshing Springs Church of God in Christ has a mission to serve Jesus Christ while serving His people through health and wellness. The Nursing Ministry is composed of Licensed Vocational Nurses, Registered Nurses and a Nurse Practitioner whom all stand in unity to promote holistic health, wellness, and healing. Our goal is to serve all members, family, and friends of the Refreshing Springs Church of God in Christ so that they may prosper and be in good health as their soul prosper (III John 1:2).
Refreshing Springs COGIC Prison ministry teaches and preaches to prison inmates in the state of Texas. This ministry teaches and preaches the uncompromising word of God. We share testimonies and render spiritual songs of praise. We go inside the prison walls and minister to the inmates, both locally and outside the Dallas County jurisdiction. Prison ministry offers a very rewarding and blessed experience for the Prison Ministry Team members who volunteer their time and talents, leading inmates to Christ. Our ministry believes in the “Great Commission” Matt. 28:19-20. We also practice Mk.16;15. Matt. 25: 36 states ” Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me, I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
The Refreshing Springs Church Sunday School is a Bible based teaching of God’s Holy Word. Here at the Springs, we have dedicated Sunday School teachers who bring out the Word of God in a simplistic way, for souls to be saved and all believers to grow in Christ. Our Sunday School classes are divided into women’s men’s youth (Young women of Excellence & Young Men of Valor), and little soldiers. As Sunday School continues to march on, we are here to serve you as God’s people.

Ephesians 6:7 Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men. Ushers are a part of the Levite tribe in the tabernacles of the Lord, servants of God. Ushering is a fulfilling way to serve God’s people and do His work. They are skillful people who are trained to handle a body or believers and visitors.
PURPOSE: To encourage women to study God’s word and apply the Bible truths in their lives; promote Christian fellowship; to instruct, develop, and assist women in outreach and evangelism as we commit to active ministry
YWCC is organized for women ages 18-40. YWCC promotes the idea that women can be actively involved in numerous areas of the church. In addition, we practice fellowship, cooperation, and unity by talking, eating and socializing together.
Youth ages 3-18 receive training and empowerment to develop and mature into disciples of Jesus Christ. Through all stages of growth, they are nurtured to live by faith, walk in the Spirit, and rest in His grace. Our purpose is to direct by example, so our youth will develop a personal relationship with God.

- Children church (Proverbs 22:6) – Is strategically positioned to nurture, train and develop youth with values to lead the church of the future.
- Lil soldiers for Christ (Philippians 4:13) – Learn bible verses and teachings through drills, activities, fellowship and fun.
- Young men of valor (Judges 6:12) – Focus to help young males understand their God-given mission and role in His Kingdom, to reach and build men.
- Young ladies of excellence (Proverbs 31:25) – Focus on providing empowerment for young females on how to live an enriched life.
